Gregory R. Traversy, M.A.
Gregory Traversy retired in 2007 as President of the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association Inc. (CLHIA). Prior to his appointment as President in 2003, Mr. Traversy held various positions at CLHIA including Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Before joining CLHIA, Mr. Traversy’s professional experience included positions within the Canadian federal government, where he worked with the Treasury Board Secretariat, Privy Council Office, the Department of National Health and Welfare, the Department of Finance, and the Department of Labour, ultimately serving as an Assistant Deputy Minister.
Mr. Traversy has previously served on the Boards of several for profit and not for profit organizations.
Mr. Traversy earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours, Mathematics) from Carleton University and a Masters in Arts (Statistics) from Princeton University.
Mr. Traversy was elected to the Board of Directors of Assuris in 2008.
